Bill Allen and Brian Phillips are the reason that the CSBA was started. They both had a calling from God and were obedient the call and did the work. They were members #2 and #3 and chose to make Christ member #1. Bill played a major part in the National rally as well and organized regional rides and rallies like the VIR Ride and Race weekend. Bill was also the one who started the CSBA Run for the Word event that was very successful for many years and raised a lot of funds to send Bibles all over the world.
During our monthly CSBA conference call last week it was brought before the board to make a donation from the CSBA as well as setting up a fund that we can contribute to and pass it along to Bill and his family. The board agreed that the CSBA would donate $250.00 to that fund as well as take donations from anyone who feels led to help.
I encourage each person reading this to please consider praying for our brother Bill and sister Cindy Allen. I ask you to help financially in any way that you can. With mounting medical bills as well as the loss of income it is hard to imagine how hard it is on them.
