I have just finished putting several routes together for this rally. We will have plenty of options with some great roads. I am still working on securing a hotel location. We are hoping to find one that has a place we can gather each day after the rides. So far the only one I have found is the Hampton Inn which is $100 per night. There are a couple other hotels in that area that less expensive but do not have a meeting room. One I am waiting for a return call has the breakfast area that can be closed off in the evening so that may work for us.

This will be a great time and as it has already been mentioned, the roads in this area are superb. Looking forward to seeing many more faces this spring. I have attached a few of the routes that I have found on Roadrunner magazines website for your viewing pleasure. The other one is from another site, and we rode some of these routes last year.

Thanks for your hard work Jcmathis. If we only have 8 people show up like last year we can crowd into a hotel room, but a meeting room of some kind would be nice. Thanks also for posting up the routes.

The routes that I posted are just some of the options. I have others as well but they are in my mapping software.

The hotel for this event is going to be Comfort Inn located at 315 Holston Rd, Wytheville, VA 24382. Phone number is (276) 228-4488. I have blocked 10 rooms to be available, you can reserve a king room or a 2 double room. Our rate is $70 plus tax per night. When you call, mention the CSBA Spring Rally to take part in this room block.

We are 1 month away from this rally. I hope everyone has checked their schedule and confirmed that they can make it to this event. The roads are some of the best in the country with great pavement and little to no traffic.

My plans are up in the air at the moment. I'll call Monday (or Tuesday) to see if there are still rooms available.

Everything's up in the air right now. Dad's having a triple-bypass tomorrow, and how well he recovers will go a long way to if I can take any trip at all or how far away I can risk being from home. Mom also has a church event in Richmond that weekend, and if dad can't be left alone by that point, I'd have to be home on the day she departs...just in case.
