I will be working for the April ride, but have off the weekends of the May, June, July rides. So maybe I will muster up the energy to slab it out to Harrisburg to join you this year but then again I said the same thing last year. :cheer:

We hope to see you there! You can do a partial slab, if you want. Get out to State Street that goes by Bear Creek, take that to 662, go north until you get to 61. Cross over 61, L @ stop sign, R Shoey rd, R Sharetlesville rd, L Irish Creek rd, R 183, I 78 S, 19 miles, I-81S 24 miles. Not so bad. :)

The day was bright, clear, and cold! It was in the low to mid 30's as we all headed out to ride to breakfast. Wait, wasn't February warmer some days, what's up with that! :silly: Either way, we pushed through the cold to get there for breakfast with one rider showing up after breakfast to ride. There was 4 at breakfast and 4 that rode, our pal Andy is still on the mend but hopes to be riding next month. With another member at home fixing a car and another doing work around the house; we are starting to build a chapter here. :) After a yummy breakfast, (warm food helps on a cold morning ;) ) we went out and had our safety meeting. Me, Jason, Dave, and Darryl all formed up and rode out, with Andy shooting a departing pic for us. We didn't meet up with much traffic, and passed two cars in passing zones, yet one later yelled at me for it. :blink: Oh well, I guess you can't please everyone. As the ride went on the sun warmed up everything nicely. We did hit some gravel here and there but the rain the other night did clear things up. The scenery was beautiful with the grass coming in green, the blossoms and buds on the trees, and bright blue skies with the white clouds rolling by. The roads were nice and we arrived at our lunch stop safely. We all were kind of full from breakfast and had light fare to eat. We got gas and rode back toward Carlisle. I made a wrong turn and went to U-turn. I didn't get into the left turn lane fast enough and got yelled at again. I'm not making friends today. :dry: From there we got back on course, found the roads we didn't find on the recon and they weren't bad. We went past orchards, farms and factories. We then headed due north and got on I-81, the wrong way! :lol: So we stopped at a different fuel stop, where I shared the Scripture, took a selfie, and talked about next month's ride. We had a good ride. I hope to see you all next month for our Bald Eagle Run. The Scripture is below. Proverbs 2:20-3:10

20 Thus you will walk in the ways of the good and keep to the paths of the righteous.
21 For the upright will live in the land, and the blameless will remain in it;
22 but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the unfaithful will be torn from it.
3:1 My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart,
2 for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.
3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.
8 This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.
9 Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops;
10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.

We are restarting the series on the attributes of a godly man, one that follows God and obeys His commands. In verse 20 we see that he is just and righteous, he does what is right in the eyes of God and looks out for the justice of his fellow man (and women). In verse 21 he is upright and blameless, if you don't do wrong, and you live right there's not much people can blame you for. Sadly though there have been those that have been falsely accused and we should try to help anyone that has been so accused. In verse 1, the godly man is mindful and remembering what he was taught. He is loving and faithful, making them part of him and his character (verse 3). He is committed to doing those things. He has earned favor and a good reputation by living right (verse 4). He is trusting and humble, willing to be taught. (verse 5). Finally in verse 9, he is honoring of God. Proverbs is an ancient book with timeless wisdom, a distillation of life to remember and take with you. May God bless you this month.

I'm looking forward to May's ride! I've been out several times but have to work into it. Logged 100 miles yesterday and wore myself out ;)
